Hygiene
Handwashing: Children and staff must wash their hands regularly, especially
before meals, after using the toilet, and after outdoor play. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the nursery.
Cleaning and Disinfection: Regular cleaning schedules will be maintained, with particular
attention to high-touch areas. Toys and equipment will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Illness Policy: Children who are unwell should not attend the nursery. Parents must notify the nursery of the illness and follow exclusion guidelines for contagious diseases. A designated isolation area will be available for children who become unwell during the day until they can be collected.
Medication: Medication will only be administered with written consent from the parent/guardian and under strict guidelines. A record of administered medication will be maintained.
Air Quality
- The nursery ensures high air quality by providing IQAir HealthPro 250 air purifiers in the room for children aged 6-18 months and the dedicated nurse’s room.
- Dyson air purifiers are used in all other rooms.
- PM2.5 levels are monitored daily using a PM2.5 indicator to
minimize exposure to harmful particles.
Water Quality
External Use: Water for handwashing, showering, and toilet use is filtered using a multi-layer system: coarse filter, delicate filter, and carbon filter.
Internal Use: Water for cooking and boiling undergoes an additional layer of filtration using a reverse osmosis (RO) system and a UV system.
Drinking Water: Drinking water is strictly sourced from bottled water only to ensure the highest quality and safety for consumption.
